Amoxicillin allergy

My 4 month old has a ear infection and they gave her Amoxicillin for it and since i have been giving it to her she has been sleeping a lot does that have to do with the medication?

Well sleeping a lot may not be due to amoxicillin. It may be due to mainly the fact that the child is in less pain and thus is catching up on lost or disturbed sleep. However watch out for rash and loose stool, which are the commonest side effects. If the child remains sleepy even after 24-48 hours consult the doctor.
