Anything else to try?

by Tammy2009, Nov 01, 2009 10:39AM
I had a bad reaction to one of my allergy shots on Oct 8th and still having symptoms from it.  It made my allergies spike to where they were before shots (last march) and everything has settled down except for severe nasal congestion.  My left nostril is so swollen the two membranes are touching and the right side are almost touching.

I haven't been able to use my nasal rinse because I don't think all the saline can come out since I'm so swollen.  I also react to pseudoephrine and can't use it (bad anxiety and fast heart rate that makes me dizzy).  I have tried flonase (didn't work at all), and Ava-mys (only works for 6 hours).

Is there anything else I can try to stop the congestion?  I'm sleeping 10-11 hours at night and napping for another 2 during the day because I can't sleep well.  I am on 800mcg of pulmicort for my asthma (which is acting up due to the post nasal drip) and calcium/vit D supplement.  Thanks.
