Are these hives? Allergic reaction?

No one can figure out what these red patches are on my hands. They are identical on the inside of my palms. I have not taken any new medication, no new lotions, not been in contact with poison ivy. The only allergy I have is pollen and I have been outside a lot already this year, and sneezing/coughing a lot lately. I read online that these can happen when you are having an allergic reaction, but haven't seen anything about an allergic reaction to POLLEN. Today it started spreading down to my wrist (as seen in the picture)

Anyone out there know what this could be?

Hello kristaLK,

Unfortunately I don't know what this rash on your hands could be.
I would find the fact that this rash is spreading to your wrists somewhat
concerning. Is this rash itchy as well ? I have allergies too but  I've
never heard of an rash associated with pollen. It's hard to treat something
when you don't know what's causing the rash. You say you've been taking
Claritin and Benadryl and nothings working. May I suggest a visit to your
family doctor and have her or him look at your rash. Perhaps your doctor
may have some ideas as to what is causing your rash. If your doctor
can't figure it out, your doctor may refer you to a dermatologist.
Dermatologist specialize in skin issues. It's my guess you may be referred to one by your family doctor.  Hope this has been helpful. Eve
