Biaxin XL question

Is it suppose to leave a bad taste in your mouth?

Yes it does. Whenever I have taken it I get a horrible bitter taste in my mouth, especially when I wake up. It improves a tiny bit after a few days. It's a great antibiotic though, and you shouldn't stop taking it just over the bad taste.

I remember having to take that once for bronchitis, and I remember it leaving a nasty taste in my mouth also.  It was a very metallic taste to me....like I had a mouth full of nickels!!
Eewww...nasty stuff....but necessary! Chew gum...hard candy, maybe?
