Cat allergy and Heart Palps

So i am extremly allergic to cats and unfortunately right now i have 6 of them. They Are my fathers cats and i unfortunately have to live with my father. I get the sneezing the coughing up mucus clogged nasel sinuses and everything its miserable and when the cats are right next to me my lungs even start to lock up.

But what i was wondering is lately ive been having heart palpitations and tachycardia. Hypathetically could a very severe cat allergy cause these things.

It could be an allergic reaction. On exposure to the allergen, an Immunologic (IgE) or a non-immunologic reaction is set in process, which ultimately releases histamine, which acts at the peripheral receptors, resulting in allergic reactions. This can range from common hay fever to hives to asthma or anaphylactic reactions. Of these the anaphylactic reactions are the most severe forms and the symptoms can include breathlessness with stridor and with dropping of blood pressure resulting in loss of consciousness. It is a medical emergency and needs to be tackled immediately. Epipen is used in such situations.

You may need to discuss this with your doctor who will examine you and may ask for blood tests and if needed.
