Chest problem

Hello there

I am new guy joined here and i am facing problem with my chest (Heavy breathing pain at back side of my lungs)... I used to be chain smoker before  quitting  the cold turkey. recently i have made X-Ray for my chest and here is the report that they gave me:
1- Exaggerated Lung Markings Seen in both mid and lower zones.
2- Apices, hilar areas & CP angles seen normal
3- Cardia Seen Normal.
4- Visualized bony cage is normal.

The doctor told me that i have bronchitis and he gave me inhalation powder called Seretide Diskus 250 for 14 days. First day i used it i felt better but now adays i am feeling that the pain in my chest increasing bit.

are these thing i am going through are normal? is there any possibility for cancer? He told me that i need like 4 years to recover totally from this heavy breathing is is normal thing?
