Chronic Urticaria

I've had itching from the chest up including neck, shoulders, face, scalp for 10 years now. I've had biopsies that show urticaria and have tried every medication known to man. I've also had ANA and thyroid tests which were all negative. Has anyone ever been completely cured from this horrible itching??? I'm at my wit's end here!

I am 13 years old and I was diagnosed with Chronic Urticaria, too, a few months ago. I have had it since about February though. I don't know if you have been treated yet since this post is old, but I'm on a combination of prednisone, Zantac, Zyrtec, zafirlukast, and Hydroxyzine. I don't think there is a cure, but there is help. I'm receiving shots of Xolair which has helped people, but so far it hasn't helped me so I might try Plaquenil. I hope you have gotten better.

The ONLY time that I ever felt some relief was after getting a 2nd degree sunburn...but I DO NOT suggest doing so!

I just go through life stinking...I don't care what people think anymore...my personal comfort is more important to me than how I look and smell.lol
I DO shower...but only just before I have to go somewhere "special"...like the doctor, dentist, or anywhere where I know that someone will be sitting or standing very close to me.
Of course, being a stay at home mom/business owner helps. lol

Another thing that I find VERY helpful, is to pour apple cider vinegar over my head/body while in the shower. It gets rid of the stench, and because it burns slightly, it seems to help with the itching. I find I get fewer hives since starting this.
Whatever works right?
I also find that using hand cleaner instead of soap and water helps too. My hands don't itch, crack, and bleed like they used to.
