Dark Circles Around Eyes

I am not sure where to start. I am caucasion. I am 50 years old. I have very dark circles around my eye. I have had them for about 15 years. They are getting darker and seem to be darker when I am affected by allergies, lack of sleep or stress. I have had many people ask me where and how I got the black eyes from. I do speeches in front of large crowds and it is embaracing. I have seen pictures of the men on my mothers side of the family who also appear to have had this condition. I would appeciate and help or suggestions. Doctors have not been helpful accept to say it may be vascular.

Welcome to the forum!
You will be surprised to know that dark circles can be hereditary. Another common cause is anemia. Proper sleep and rest is a must to avoid them. Creams with Vitamin E help, but should be applied judiciously. You can apply fresh tomato juice daily and gently massage the eye and under eye area.
