Donating Plamsa

Donating Plamsa

I have donated plasma three times total so far. I have not gotten dizzy or nauseated at all after donating except after the first and third time I got sick a couple hours after when taking off the bandage. I feel completely fine at first, but the moment I release the bandage I get sick to my stomach and feel like I'm going to pass out. Any reason for this?

Hi,

How are you? Current FDA Regulations state that the maximum frequency of donation is once in two days, and no more than two times in a seven day period. Possible side effects that can occur during donation include dizziness, fainting, nausea, convulsions, and shock. Drinking caffeine-free and non-alcoholic liquid  and eating the equivalent of a regular meal within three/four hours of donation should help minimize the possibility of dizziness or fainting due to a lowering of circulating blood volume. I hope this helps.

Take care and best regards.
