It is 1:29 am here and I cannot sleep, I have an earache. When I turn in my sleep I am awaken because of the pain.It appears as if I have air trapped in my ear. I tried popping my ear but it does not help, it pops but the pain that occurs when it pops in ridiculous. Even if I try to plug my ear with a finger the pain it too much (I tried to do that to ascertain if I could hear through the ear.... I can). I've started to get a headache and pain in neck comes and goes.
I am open to suggestion for relieving the pain until I can get to the doctor...
I know you wrote this post nine hours ago so you're well into the day. I also hope you have made an appointment to see a doctor today or if the doctor's office is not a possibility, I would suggest going to an after hours clinic. Bad pain in one's ear can be indicative of an ear infection. If the pain in your ear is so bad it wakes you up you need to seek medical attention. The sooner the better. You also said you have started to get a headach and pain in your neck. You need to be seen by a doctor, skyi. Good luck to you. Eve :)
You're welcome. I recognize the signs of an ear infection. When I was
a child, I had a lot of ear infections according to my mom. Don't know
why I had so many ear infections. I remember how painful they were.
Anyway, based on the symptoms you described, I was pretty sure
it was an ear infection. Did your doctor prescribe an antibiotic of some
description. You say it is an infecton... again. Does that mean you get
a lot of ear infections? If so, you have my sympathies. I remember how
painful they are. I hope you get relief soon. Eve :)
I got some antibiotics eardrops and 2 other eardrops. Ever since I've been working where i now work I've been having a lot of infections. My sinuses are always giving trouble. I know that there are alot of pollutants in the environment (factories, landfill--which they frequently burn)etc...When i am home on vacation I still some sinus problems but no where near what I experience when I am at work. Last week along I had a few asthma attacks... The atmosphere was smokey and fillled with smog
