Eden Pure: Fiction or a Valuable Help?

We were given a new born kitten over the holidays, which was very exciting for the kids and me, but I am somewhat worried about the potential to flare up my son's asthma (as well as some potential allergies to cats??)  I am bathing the kitten about 2 times a week, which I heard is very good to do to minimize irritation.

I'm not sold on it, but am hopeful.  They seem to be a widely, highly regarded company, but I really don't know.  Does anyone have any experience with Eden Pure or other air filtration systems?
