Fluid in Ear

my 3 year son was seen by his doctor and she said he has water in his ear so she prescribed Nasonex and Zyrtec. Is that going to solve that issue???

Hi,
How is your son?  What other symptoms are present? Ear congestion may be attributed to allergic,  infectious or ear  issues. Nasal congestion may lead to post nasal drip as well as ear congestion due to the anatomical connection of the throat to the ear. . If this is allergic in nature, antihistamine medications and avoidance of the allergen may help provide relief. However, if it persists, additional diagnostic tests may need to be done and antibiotic management may be indicated. Take care and do keep us posted.
