Hives are driving me crazy!!

To be well detailed, this past Wednesday night I was doing homework and suddenly started itching right at the very top of my legs. Then it started itching more places until it spread to my stomach completely. It itched so bad, and is itching really badly right now. I couldn't and still can't figure out what is causing them. I haven't changed anything, detergent or food or clothing or meds or anything at all that I can think of. I am always stressed out it seems or always worrying about something but I don't know why I would just now get the hives from that, I would think I would have got them a long time ago if stress was the cause. So on Thursday I went to the Doctor. They said it was hives, and gave me Atarax. When I took the Atarax the first time, I just slept a whole lot and it seemed to help the itching but not take away the hives. The second time, I seemed to have side effects from the medicine. I got really depressed, had crazy thoughts that even normally I wouldn't have, and was even suicidal, and I am not that type at all. Then, all of the sudden, I got very excited and couldn't stop talking, I even had some slurred speach. So I totally quit taking the Atarax after that. The hives were still there and at school on Friday, I started having reaaally bad back pain. I called my grandmaw(who I live with) and she brought me so Motrin to take for that. We didn't read the side effects of it until after I took it. It said it could cause hives, swelling of face, tongue and throat, all of which I got after taking it. I went back the doctor yesterday(Friday the 13th) and she said to just not take anything for now except maybe Benedryl which I've not taken anyway cause I'm scared to take anything cause I don't want more allergic reactions. The hives have just got even worse. The hives now seem to come and go. They appear and itch really bad, then go away and come back some amount of time later. Each time seems to be a little wider spread. It's on my neck, arms, hands, legs, stomach, and a little bit on my face. It's driving me crazy. When I apply something cold, it seems to help. Heat or tight clothing tends to make them come back worse. I also was still having excitment earlier today but I don't understand why since the last time I took any meds was more than 24 hours ago and it shouldn't be in my system. All I know is I don't know what's causing the hives or what I can do to help make them go away or at least to stop all the itching. I tried using a cream(Aveeno) and it seems to not help at all, if not make it worse. I would like to learn anything you can tell me on the matter. Try taking a over the counter zertic or zertac (its an antihistimine)   Only 1  day
