I have not been able to smell or taste anything for more than a month!

I am guessing this is related to Rhinitis....I have been taking Nasonex, singulair, Xopenex and Advair for my allergies and asthms. I have not been able to smell or taste anything for month. I am convinced it has something to do with all of the meds I am taking or that I have something else wrong. My doctor won't even look in my nose or down throat because he is too busy playing on his new computer system.   Is there anything I can do to get my sense of smell and taste back?

Yea, you can get a new doctor.  You need a second opinion and have your old factory system checked. This is what controls your sense of smelling.  If you cant smell, you more than likely cannot taste.  You need to find a doctor to test you to make sure that you do not have some sort of infection affecting this system.  Again, find a new doctor and tell the old one he is fired.  A second opinion never hurts, in fact it can usually help.  Ask around and try to find a doctor in your area that is for the patient and not for the money.  I am confident you can find a good doctor who will listen to what you have to say and who will check you out thoroughly.  Good luck and best wishes.
