I nearly cried today

I nearly cried today cos huge eye bags are interfering with my social life and I am still young. I am a 23 year old healthy male and have suffered from dry eyes for a couple of years. Seen the doctor many times and he keeps prescribing allergy drops and they help a little at start but not long-term. I cant afford to see an opthomologist or even change my doctor (not that it would benefit much considering that so many people are dissatisfied by even their opthomologists). So I am hoping well-wishers here might recommend a treatment specific to my case stated below.

My symptoms are:

Dry eyes - My symptoms are: Mucus strings (major problem, have to clean bottom eyelid every 30 mins on bad days and sooner on worse. Though on good days it only bothers me after a few hours), Eyes watering (wind, light - not as bad as mucus strings)

Huge Bags - This has destroyed my life really. I used to be good-looking a year ago. Now I look old and stressed. Looks matter in my profession unfortunately.

Blocked, stuffy nose - Most days if not all, I cant even breathe through my nose. I strongly believe that its directly related to my dry eyes as on good days when I dont have a blocked or runny nose, I dont have mucus discharge either.

Semi-Allergic (severe sneezing and nasal (not eye) mucus-discharge when exposed to dust, sudden temperature change, STRESS, etc) - Semi cos I have noticed that when I exercise and stay fit, my allergy is nearly non-existent cos I dont have a blocked or runny nose anymore. You see I have a glimmer of hope and that too without taking medication. I have noticed that if I exercise hard every alternate day for two hours (I generally try to stay very fit and healthy), my eyes discharge very little mucus AND my nose isnt blocked. So I believe its all linked. Cos I have noticed in the last two years that in the months where I exercised regularly, I had little mucus discharge, less watery eyes and could directly look at the sun but the months where I became a couch potato, it all got worse.

Stress (and this is directly related to the allergy part) - I have noticed that on the days I am stressed the most, I start sneezing heavily,  nose gets blocked and my allergy symptoms return which cause a chain reaction and leads to my eyes discharging mucus. And this can be so sudden. The moment I read an email (news, phone conversation, etc) which overwhelms me (could be a good or bad news), I instantanously start sneezing heavily and my orificies start discharging mucus and it does get very bad very quickly. And I get these work-related overwhelming news every other day as I am in a very dynamic and risky profession.

It is advisable to stay happy but I cant control work-related stress and there are and will always be days when I will be more stressed than normal. I try to stay happy but still would like to experience stress like a normal person would and not turn into a monster just cos I have to meet a deadine which I know I will miss and it doesnt help if I now have to deal with severe dry eyes too at the same time.

I have noticed that on days when I watch movies and I can watch 3-5 in a row (I know most people here cant but I am an artist and its my job really) or listen to music for hours, I feel relaxed and not stressed and my body (both eyes and nose) doesnt discharge as much mucus.

The Weird - The weird thing I have noticed is that it all gets worse and my eyes get mucus strings at a much faster rate when I am in my bed with my laptop. So much so that I have to clear long, thick strings every other minute! But when I am out and about WITH my laptop (say in the library, park, office) its not as bad. For example, on a day when i have been in a library for 6 hours and then get home and into bed, immediately my eyes start mucus-discharge at a relatively faster rate than say an hour ago. I clean my sheets and my room regularly and i havent ever noticed any difference on days when i have new sheets and covers. I still havent figured out why this is cos I use laptop all day at the library too just like at home, only I sit on a chair instead of lying in my bed.

EXERCISING AND STAYING FIT AND HEALTHY - I am not a musclehead but I do believe this is my way out. Ideally, I dont want to "get used to" my allergy and dry eye or take medication forever. I want to eliminate my allergy and my dry eye and that too at the same time cos its all linked. Yes, you might say that if you feel better and get "cured" after a workout, well then why dont you just workout. Well, the problem is that mucus-string dont go away completely. Though, they are shorter and thinner and sometimes just a little trace in excess water even, they are still there. Maybe it will go away after a few months of hard work but maybe it wont. And it might return in the future since I am still very young. But thats not the issue. I am willing to put time and effort in if it will give me results. BUT I am scared that it might become resistent to whateer I do. In any case, I have no other choice so thats what I will do, preferable combined with other treatments for not just faster results but permanent results.
Also, please tell me if you think I am just disillusioned and/or if there is a better treatment for my specific symptoms.
