I think a cold sore?

This is strange and none of my family, even my ex nurse mother, knows what on my lip. I think its a cold sore due to the fact that its going through the stages, but were not so sure. It started off normal, but than it appeared again just a little bit over on my lip. Once again, going through the stages. Could it just be 2 cold sores, ingrown hair, a bunch of zits, of impetigo? This is really concerning me because I have been wanting to cut my lip clean off. :P

The rash could be due to Herpes simplex infection. The virus can lie dormant and can get reactivated at intervals producing symptoms. Hence there is no permanent cure. But anti-viral medications like acyclovir, valacyclovir and famciclovir are known to shorten out breaks and improve symptoms. It depends on one’s immunity also. If it is good the person may have less number of reactivations. If the immunity is relative less than he is likely to have more symptoms.
