Is it wrong to squeeze mosquito bites?

I was recently attacked by mosquitos (I mean a lot of bites between 20 or 25 of them over a 2 day period) and I have always known I'm allergic to them as I remember that from childhood.  My question is, should I have squeezed them?  They hurt really bad when I first get stung but they are so big that I usually poke it with something and squeeze out the clear sticky substance.  It's been a couple of weeks since it happened and for some reason, the itching came back with a vengeance.  I developed rashes all around the bites and just started itching like crazy all over again.  Now I have bruises everywhere from scratching too hard and some of them just look like welts.  My calf is swollen over an area about as large as the palm of your hand from just ONE bite.  Did I make it worse by squeezing out the venom when they first bit me?  Or would it have just been twice as bad right now if I hadn't?  Thanks!
