Is this an Allergy?

have no idea why this even happened, but today I was eating pizza the same pizza I have eaten for years and it felt like my throat was tightening up. I know what the feels like because I have food allergy, yet I don't think that is what happened. I waited about 10 min and the symptoms did not change they stayed the same.  So I went to the doctor and he gave me a dose of epi pen and some benedral (mis sp?). I waited and it seems that the symptoms did not change at all. I never had shortness of breath just kinda hard to swallow. Then the doctor came back in and looked in my ear and said that I have a lot of wax in it, and i am talking about A LOT. So he said that my throat could feel that it is tightening due to the fact that my ear was not draining because of the wax. Well something like that. I just don't know how wax in my ear can effect the way i swallow, and it only happens when I eat. I just need to know what I have and or how to fix it. I also want to know if I can eat food and this not happen?? or could this have been an allergy reaction?

Thanks

Hi,

What food allergies do you have?

Could the pizza have had any of the substances you are allergic to? Has your doctor cleaned or removed the ear wax or prescribed any medications for it?

You could try using soliwax - to dissolve the wax and help it drain out naturally; or, you could consult your doctor or ENT specialist and get it removed and see if the symptoms go away.

Do keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
