Itchy skin rashes

by vluv, Nov 07, 2009 05:08AM
Hi,

I have skin rashes for more than one month. The rashes have the following characteristics:
- appear on face, neck, body, long arm
- itchy and some areas have many very small red spots, or some areas have
- the skin rashes come and go within about 15-25 minutes
- become serious when under hot environment especially under sunlight. But it may occur after bathing, feel nervous or sometimes no special reasons.

I am vegetarian for 3 years. I am not allergy to food and do not change my body shampoo and cleaners recently. I have seen western and Chinese doctors. The doctors have given me calamine lotion and allergy medicine to relieve itchiness. But this condition still exists. Please help and welcome your any suggestions. Thanks a lot.

I have had the same for 18 months , I have recently discovered to my delight that it is from my plants.... Opuntia .. I obtained several Bunny Ears ' (Opuntia Microdays)  around the time the hives broke out I have thought I have been allergic to everything else or even had Lyme disease .So what I am saying is , do you handle plants at all, especially Cactus ?

Great to hear that you have found the cause to your condition. I'm really happy for you and hope you have no skin rashes anymore.
Itchiness and redness really irritated me recently and affect my daily life. :(
So far I didn't handle any plants, so I think it might not be the cause for my condition.
Thanks.

I am still getting some itching but nothing like it was so I am still thinking its the plants. think of anything new you have put on any creams lotions, shower gel, shampoo also materials on new clothes. Its not easy to pin point the cause . Good Luck
