It's driving me insane.

I'm a 23 year old female i never in my entire life had any allergy symptoms i was born and raised in poland till age of 12 when i moved to USA still till age of 18 i didn't have anything recently after i turned 18 and have graduated from high school my family and i decided to move to a new town (we lived in ny long island and still do just an hour away from the place we used to live in) anyways our backyard is very popular with trees and just that first year of living in the new place i recently started to notice the puffy eyes, watery eyes, itchy throat and uncontrolable sneezing it was driving me nuts my father got me some allergy stuff but none of them worked and ive heard about Claritin? well i started using that and it seemed to work...but now i recently (got it few days ago) got the allergys (allergies) back as the season has come for it and i took it and it doesn't seem to help at all?!
I work 6 days a week at a deli in the kitchen its extremely hot in there starting work at 5am it seems cold but then i take my sweatshirt off and do my job i sweat and sometimes go outside for a cigaret (yes i smoke) and i am not sure if the cold breeze makes it like that or what? but i get home i have NO voice whatsoever...my coughing is sooo bad it burns my throat literally burns every time i cough i feel like i am about to spit blood, my eyes r watery, my body entire body is aching from uncomfortable pains and aches i am NOT on any medications besides Claritin for the allergy and i use Nostrilla for my breathing problems clears my nostrils a little and i use  Naphocon-A as my eye drops seems to work well...but still i feel each year the allergys (allergies) are getting strong and none of those medications seem to work anymore...and i am not sure what to do i dont want to go to a doctor cause i feel like they will tell me oh take this and that and you be fine i feel like they don't seem to care and don't seem to give me anything working but as of now i think its my only option to just go to a doctor ...did i mention i make weird sounds at night when trying to sleep like i am sufficating with the breathing unable to catch any and so i am loosing alot of hours on sleep...so help?

Hi,

Has a CT scan of the sinuses or a chest xray been done? This could be due to the post nasal drip that occurs associated with sinusitis, rhinitis or associated pharyngitis. Asthma needs to be ruled out too, alongwith an allergies.

You should try some steam inhalation and saline nasal drops along with oral antihistamine medications and see if it helps with your symptoms.

Are you allergic to any specific substances?

It is in fact a good idea to consult an allergy specialist and get a clinical evaluation.

You should consult your symptoms if your symptoms still persist. Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.
