Jaw stiffness and Rhinitis?

by akstcyr, Jun 25, 2008 11:44PM
Hi,
Does anyone know 1) if it's worth getting a diagnoses for rhinitis 2) can it be linked to jaw problems?  I think I have rhinitis - my regular doctor had me on allergy meds for over a year because I had chronic sinusitis, but I finally went to an allergist and found out I have no allergies.  He suggested the sinusitis is linked to rhinitis.  I haven't had any problems until recently - I'm having some jaw stiffness and my ear always feels likes its plugged.  Does anyone have any input for me?
Thanks

Hi. I can only offer my personal experience with the symptoms you have described. I kept thinking I had an ear infection, and or a sinus problem. After several trips to the doctor I was finally told my symptoms were more than likely from TMJ. TMJ causes ear pain and stufiness, jaw pain and stifness, headaches, neck and shoulder aches, among other things. Just something to think about.
Thanks!!!
