Klonopin - CNS & allergies

I've been off Klonopin for 15 months, and since being off I've developed allergies for the first time in my life.  I have tried several different allergy meds, sinus meds & inhalers, that didn't work or aggravated my allergy symptoms.  The only med that worked was Benadryl allergy.  I have read that Benadryl is a cns depressant, similar to Klonopin.

cns = central nervous system

Now I am wondering if anyone knows, if cns has any effect on allergies ?

Reason being.  Each time, I took Benadryl my allergy symptoms practically disappeared, swelling, excessive mucus, tight chest, shortness of breath.  Benadryl relaxes me, while other meds, causes heart palps, nervousness, anxiety, etc..... And made symptoms worse.  I was wondering why Benadryl worked, but other meds didn't, so I did some research.  Also Benadryl didn't make me feel like a zombie the next day like Zyrtec did.

Now I am led to believe the cns system can aggravate or reduce allergy symptoms.  I don't have facts, but will discuss what I have shared with my allergist on the 17th of June.

I notice when my anxiety is on overload, my allergy symptoms are worse, I start hacking up more mucus then usual, the more relaxed I am symptoms improve.  Maybe it's just me, but a interesting discovery.

Hi,
Cholinergic urticaria is a subcategory of physical urticaria (aka hives) that is a skin rash brought on by a hypersensitive reaction to body heat.Stress due to any cause can bring on the allergic manifestation.
All urticarias are caused by an elevated histamine release by the body's mast cells.
Benadryl is diphenhydramine, a first generation antihistamine.Thus it is effectively controlling your symptoms.
As the disease may be physiological in origin, psychological treatments such as stress management can sometimes lessen severity and occurrence.
