Lipo-Plex injection/Sulfa allergy

Yesterday I received a Lipo-Plex injection (B12 with Lipotropics) that contains Methionine a sulfur containing amino acid. I have a Sulfa allergy (normally get an extremely high fever). Should I be worried? I haven't had any side effects. Feeling a little flushed (hot) but that is about it. Otherwise I feel great. Can I continue with these shots? Thanks!

If methionine is SULFUR and I am allergic to SULFA - two different things, then why would I need to worry about having the liptropic injection?  I have had 2 injections so far, with no issues but I know  SULFA stays in your system quite awhile and can accumulate to the point where I would have a reaction at some point so if there are even trace amounts of SULFA (not SULFUR) in methionine then I could end up having a reaction.  Can anyone clarify about the SULFUR vs SULFA solely as it relates to methionine?

Hi,

If you have been fine since the first shot, the chances that you would develop an allergic reaction to the next two shots are very less.

It would still be advisable to inform your doctor about your allergic history and to keep oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications at hand in case of a sudden flare up of symptoms.

The injections must be being given under supervision.

Let us know if you need any other information and post us about how you are doing.

Regards.
