Lupus and food allergies

I have a friend who has Lupus antibodies and her 1 yr old son has food allergies (peanuts) and we were wondering if her Lupus condition could have been passed onto her son and created his food allergies.  It is my understanding that food allergies are also an immunity issue, which Lupus is.  Can anyone clarify??

If the son has an active thrush infection you are not aware of - that will generate an allergic reaction to peanuts. (just a thought)

Hi Nellie,

I'm not surprised to hear this. L-form bacteria can be passed from mother to child during childbirth.
