Does this mean I'm allergic to the foundation? Am I smearing the allergen into my skin deeply when I use the C&C pads, which makes my skin react? Just so confused because while I wear it NO trouble.
I also tried a foundation from studio5ive on someones advice, but that was even worse! It make my eyes swell up, I looked like I had bags under my eyes after just one application. Swelling went down a bit but when I smile it looks like I have bags under my eyes. Any advice?? Any suggestions on what makeup I should buy?
I have that problem with any type of cleaning pad. It is really too abrasive for the sensitive skin. Maybe you are scrubbing longer since it isn't a powder and it has irritated the skin. Try something non-abrasive to clean the skin. I use a Johnson & Johnson product called Purpose. It really helped me. Best wishes to you. tmv
I have discovered in the last two years that I have an allergy to Formaldahyde. I can't drink out of plastic bottles (I use a glass straw). I have to order wooden toothbrushes because I can't use regular toothbrushes. I can't eat off of plastic silverware. I get itchy water blisters on my lips and my lips feel burned. I now have developed an allergy to my night cream (I use Neutregena). My eyelids are now swollen and itch. What can I use to clean and moisturize my face that doesn't have any formaldahye in it? Help!!!!!

Burt's Bees has a wonderful 97% natural product called "Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Creme". I highly recommend. As for moisturizer, I would recommend either The Body's Shop's "Dry Oil Mist". It has olive oil, but I never break-out from the product. There is also another natural product called "Surgeon's Skin Secret Beeswax Moisturizer (Lavender)" --- I highly recommend both of these products.
I would also consider switching to natural make-ups that can be found in natural food markets, such as co-ops or Whole Foods. Since your skin is clearly very sensitive, though, I would go without make-up for a week or two to give your skin a rest.
I learned, too, when I was much younger that all those products meant for younger and acne prone skin are simply too harsh for sensitive skin.
Also, when switching over your make-up, I would start with one product at a time, rather than everything all at once. You need to make sure you're not going to have a reaction to the make-up. I think the same principle should apply to anything you put on your sensitive skin.
