I may have an allergy, such as hay fever. I have taken over the counter drugs....Claritin and Allegra.  They do not help at all.  Symptoms include, watery, burning and itchy eyes. Itchy nose. extreme drowsiness.  almost unable to function as I should.  I am 74 years old.  Thank you

Hello Linda644,

I just finished reading your comments. I see you are a recent member of Med help. Welcome to you. Have you ever been to see your family doctor to request an allergy test . Where I live, you have to have a referral to an allergist  from your doctor.  It's hard to treat something when you don't know what you are allergic to.  I had an allergy skin test a number of years ago
administered by an allergist.  I found it very helpful because at least I know what I am allergic to and I can avoid these things as much as possible.
If you haven't had a skin allergy test, that's what I would recommend.
I wish you well.   Eve
