My mouth feels like it is on fire when I eat. It has red places all over the inside and my tongue also. It doesn't matter what I eat it always burns. I have been taking benedryl, but that doesn't stop it. I have had this about two weeks.
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to burning mouth syndrome. It causes chronic burning pain in your mouth. There are no specific tests for this disorder but the doctor has to get done many investigations to rule out other conditions.
These include blood tests, oral culture, allergy tests, salivary measurements and gastric reflux tests.I would suggest that you get it evaluated from a physician/dentist and get it evaluated.Treatment depends on the confirmation of diagnosis and the various causes causing it.
I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
