My dogs Allergies

My dog has allergies to something and I don't know what to do. He is very itchy and has large red spots on him and he is going balled were the spots are. When the spots go away the hair comes back. We tryed a food test on him and that didn't help. He gets a bath every 3rd day with shampoo the vet gave me. Nothing seems to be making things better they are just staying the same. I don't know what I should do for my little man.
