Negative allergy test results but still get asthma?

Good day. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

If you take an allergy test to see if you are allergic to cats and dogs and the results come back negative--according to the results you are not allergic to cats/dogs--can you still get an asthma epsiode from being near a cat/dog?

Also does space of dwelling having anything to do with getting asthma from a pet allergy?

Personal background: some doctors say I am asthmatic, some say I am not. In 2000 I was orginially diagnosed with mild asthma.  In Dec 2005, a month after getting a tuxedo cat, I gave him up because my breathing did not feel like I was breathing normally--no wheezing or your typical asthma symptoms, it just didn't feel right. I hastened the cat's departure when I learned you can die from asthma.

I ask about the space because I live in a studio apartment. I have been around--ironically the same type of cat--at my cousin's spacious home and the huge supermarket in my neighborhood--and no asthma epsiodes. Maybe the small confides of my apartment had something to do with it.

Thanks for your time!

The worst allergies can be treated through three-day treatment .at first you should avoid eating foods that creates histamine; yogurt, food sandwiches, bread house, high salt ....

There are different types of asthma so I would definitly go to the doctor. Asthma isn't somthing to take lightly so you should really go get it checked. I hope that all patients should go to doctor and checked it seriously.

You shouldn't have any problems with cats or dogs due to an allergic reaction, however the dander itself may still pose a problem. If you have any carpet in your house (remove it!), the dander can build up there, and tends to stay for months to years even after losing the cat. Dust mites may be a problem from owning a pet, due to them living on pet dander, and these can trigger an allergic reaction. To prevent this, make sure to keep your apartment relatively dry, keeping the humidity under 40, also to have proper ventilation.

Hope I helped,
Schuyler
