No sense of smell, dry mouth for greater than 9 months

I was a smoker.  7 months ago I quit.  When I was smoking I could not smell anything.  I blamed it on smoking.  When I quit I expected everything to get better.  It has gotten worse.  I cannot smell, my sinuses are dry all the time.  My mouth is dry all the time even after drinking water, I have plenty of saliva, it is just dry.  I think I have an infection of some kind.  When I take an anti biotic it gets better, but as soon as I stop the symptoms return.

Man i have had the same problem just seems dry need to clear all the time it feels like. If notdry a tickle. Do some foods burn your mouth that shouldnt? Does sugary liquids seem to help more then just water? I also quit smoking for 7-8 months now after smoking for over 20 years. We need to keep in touch. See if we can figure this out and see if it ssounds like we have the same thing or not.
