Nosebleeding & Headach

I am 26 years old and I have never had a problem with nose bleeds, a day ago after being out in the sun walking around for about 5 hours I got a really bad headache...I came home and pretty much slept all day long. I woke up & my head felt better but after being up for about 20 minutes it started hurting again. I laid back down and had to get up at 10pm to go to work..(I work in a nursing home on 3rd shift)...My head started hurting again after I got to work. My nurse gave me a Advil Cold and Sinus pill (just 1)...after about an hour my head starting feeling better & my nose wasn't clogged up anymore. About 2 hours after I took the pill my nose started bleeding, not a lot but enough to get a paper towel and use it for about 5 minutes. Then my other nostril started bleeding about the same. The nose bleed went away and my headache came back....And it still here after 24 hours later.....Any suggestions on what might be causing this. Katie-Spfld, OH

Sounds like a sinus infection to me.  I have allergies and sinus problems and everytime I get a horrible headache that won't go away, even if there isn't much drainage, it's a sinus infection.  Otherwise, I never have headaches.  Also, everytime I have a sinus infection my nose bleeds.  I'd go see your doctor.

There has to be something in lake water.  Suffering now in southern Missouri along with 2 of the other 10 people that went to the lake yesterday.  Come on scientist.  Help us!
