Not allergies?

My wife, who is 36 years old and who moved here from South Korea nearly four years ago, developed allergy-like symptoms about three years after we moved into our new (1969) house.  The symptoms, which include sneezing, watery/itchy eyes, and nasal drainage, started gradually and seemed to clear when she left our home, which initially led us to believe that she might have allergies to an indoor allergen.  So, we had her tested for indoor and outdoor allergies (twice) and she was not allergic to anything.  Over time, her symptoms became more and more permanent, and would not clear even when she got outside for fresh air.  Now that we are well into winter (we live in Portland, Oregon), her symptoms are permanent.  They are even interfering with her (and my sleep) and she sometimes will wake up in the middle of the night sneezing over and over.  Her nose constantly drains or itches and she is exhausted by her condition.
     We have tried to keep our house clean and dust free and use very few chemical products to clean.  We are not high chemical use people.  We are at a complete loss.
     Complicating things now is that she is pregnant and between an early pregnancy and her allergy-like condition, she is exhausted and  we are leery about using any medication (anti-histamines have zero effect anyway).
     We're going to start staying in hotels to see if being away from our house in particular might improve her symptoms.  If so, we'll simply move.  But if not, then we're stuck with what might be causing this.  I've heard of chemical sensitivities before, but feel that it is so vague and anyway, why would she suddenly develop such a condition?
