PLease help

I dont know for sure where to post this at. I go bed at night or mid morning and wake up sick with my thoart burning. Never had this problem till moved till country and stay sick most of day till it is dark out then i feel fine. Also if i keep geting sick till no acid left in belly i usually feel better to. please help

Without examination,confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but your symptoms are suggestive of acid reflux. It is usually after eating a heavy fatty meal and sedantry lifestyle. It can also be caused by drinking too much alcohol, prolonged use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin or ibuprofen, or infection with bacteria such as Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori).

Eat small nutritious meals at frequent intervals instead of a heavy single meal. Exercise frequently and take your dinner atleast 2 hrs prior to bedtime. Also raise the head end of the bed by 2 blocks. To help control the stomach acid, one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them, or eat chocolate or spicy or greasy foods .

Take some OTC antacid like Mylanta.You can also take zantac(ranitidine)or prilosec(omeprazole).These will help.Also keep your fluid electrolyte balance optimum by drinking lots of fluids.

If the symptoms persist then an upper GI endoscopy may be needed to rule out peptic ulcers.Pls consult a gastroenterologist then.

I was diagnosed when i was a kid with acid reflux.. I been taking acid reflux med and eating light and still geting sick. I was also taking Zyrtec for sinus and allegry and was still getting sick.. it is off and on. I was told by GF that seems to be when i eat sweet things later at night.

I found by drinking atleast 3 quarts of water in a day helped me immensly with acid reflux.

You said after you moved to the country...

Sounds like allergies to me. Why would you get acid reflux due to physically moving a certain distance? Allergies can be really bad out in country areas with dusts and pollens.

I am not sure what it could be i was think acid reflux, allergies..I dont think its acid reflux.. cause i can not eat anything and be sick couple days in a row. there for while think diabetes
