Patanase

Does anyone have any experience with Patanase nasal spray?  I've just spent $450 at the allergy clinic and the doctor gave me a sample of Patanase to begin using on Monday.  Since that time I've been extremely anxious, cant concentrate and VERY irritable.

Patanase (olopatadine hydrochloride)  is a new antihistaminic(H1receptor antagonist) which has been introduced.It has been approved by the FDA.

Patanase nasal spray is indicated for patients 12 years of age and older for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. Nasal allergy symptoms are measured by the patient's Total Nasal Symptom Score (TNSS) which is a combination of stuffy, runny, itchy nose and sneezing. Patanase is intended only for intranasal administration. The most common side effects experienced with the use of Patanase include: bitter taste, headache, epistaxis, pharyngolaryngeal pain, post-nasal drip, cough, and urinary tract infection.

If you feel that patanase is causing irritability pls talk to your doctor to start with some other H1 antagonist.
