Raised Skin Rash

Hi there,  I came across this forum by trying to search the internet for answers.  My 4 year old son has a rash on his leg, two spots to be exact, it is not itchy and is not red.  But it is raised and feels like a bunch of little goosebumps.  He doesn't even know they are there.  My sister seems to think that it is Excema, because it runs in the family.  I don't think it is because when I use to have it and from looking at the other kids that have it, it looks nothing like it at all.  Has anyone ever seen or heard of this rash?  Thank you.

My name is Kaela. My boyfriend of 3 years has an 8 year old girl with severe excema. I never knew what it was until I saw her poor skin. I'm sorry, I was under the impression that this was a place to go to to share information or experiences with similar issues.  If I am posting at the wrong board then I would more then happy to go someplace else.

I'm not sure what your son has, but my son has also had the a similar rash.  Not red or itchy, just raised bumps.  He has had this off and on for about 3 years and the doctor said it probably is excema.  I did use a cream he prescribed on the rash a few years ago, but it is never very bad anymore.  You may want to post this question on the dermatology forum.

Probably would be good to let his pediatrician look at it to be sure.  No one here can likely tell you what it is, or might be.  Find out for sure, and then you won't have to worry about it.
