Rash on back of hand - allergy?

by sg57, Jan 20, 2007 12:00AM
About 24 hours ago I looked at my hand for no apparent reason and on the back of it (finger nails up side) right on where the wrist connects the hand of my right hand, there are about 10 red spots, in a confined area, (like this but vertically :::::)

At first I thought it was syphillis (sorry for spelling) for Ive gotten a red zit type thing before this 2 times, each one quite a time away from each other (4-5 months).  But then I saw some images of what the sore looks like when you have syphillis, and it looked nothing like a crater type thing, rather like a non-popped zit

Then another way Ive convinced my self I dont have syphillis is by being abstinent for my entire life so far - so unless its caught air born (which i thought it couldnt live outside the body) then I shouldnt have it... (i havent gotten a blood transfusion and I highly doubt my mom had it when I was born way back in 1986)

Now I have this. I believe i have this rash on my wrist cause the day before it happened, I bent my hand forward so it stretched the skin completely, then i saw it get red - and I was bored so I sucked right on the tightened spot (class was a snoozer).  So far one has scabbed over and thats from me poking it on acciedent... I have been in water alot lately - I take showers daily and baths almost daily (to relax for 15 min).  Also - its been snowing alot lately, and so its moist out side.  Should i be concerned or is this just a common rash one gets when the skin is irritated enough.

I can take a picture of the rash if you like as well.Any help?   I rather not see a dctor if possible

You may be allergic to latex. I am and I have scars from it.

Chances are that your hand was just exposed to something that irritated it.

I highly doubt that water has anything to do with it.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. Since the rash is only on your hand, think about what it alone has been exposed to.
