Rashes on body only in the evening

Hi All,
I don't understand what is happening with my skin...
I am getting red small dots(itchy) on my arms, legs and on stomach only in the evenings.. Went to a general physician, he gave me some Anti-Histamines, and a lotion to apply.. after applying that, it goes away after about 1 hour..
Next morning, am totally rash free.. but again in the evening, these red dots come back again and some huge reddishness in skin on the hands..

This has been going on for the past 1 week.. Will see a dermatologist tmrw.. But, u guys have any pointers to wat it could be due to..

I had a dangerous sexual exposure 6.5 months back.. and had done multiple HIV tests at 2 weeks intervals till 24 weeks(10 tests in total).. All had come back negative.. Any other STDs which might cause this skin problems??

Hi, welcome to the forum, the possibilities of the rash are allergic dermatitis, Drug eruption or photosensitivty, SLE, Porphyria cutanea tarda etc.

A skin biopsy that includes immunofluorescence testing on both involved and uninvolved non-sun-exposed skin (the "lupus band test") may help to differentiate SLE-associated cutaneous involvement from other disorders.

As for allergic dermatitis is concerned, oral antihistamines and topical corticosteroids can be taken against prescription. But most important is if you are exposed to allergens like dust or pollens esp. in the evening, then you need to avoid it. I suggest you to consult physician. Take care and regards.

Thank You Doctor for replying.. I visited the most reputed Dermatologist  in my city today..

He has given me 3 Anti-Histamines for 10 days to be taken both in the morning and evenings.. He said, if it doesn't go by then, then he will do other investigations..

For ruling out any serious STD, I took the HIV (Ag+Ab) ELISA test, Anti-HCV test, HbsAg and VDRL tests today(7 months post exposure) at Apollo Hospital... All have turned up negative, and the microbiologist at Apollo said, this is 100% conclusive and no more testing is needed for these..

Haven't had the outburst till now for today(9 pm IST) after taking the first dosage of the meds..

Will keep u posted..
