Seborrheic Dermatitis (In New Areas)

Seborrheic Dermatitis (In New Areas)

A year ago I went to the dermatologist because I was really worried about a red and itchy rash around my nose and scalp. I was dianosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis, I later had it behind my ears, and Now I have developed the same thing on my inner thighs and ..testicles.

I've been using Kenacort around the nose and behind the ears. T-Gel from Neutrogena for my Scalp.

These symptoms come and go with no warning, the treatment I've been applying seems to work, but it's just temporal.. I'm really worried...

I have had psoriasis for 31 years, and I have it in many of those same areas.  Clobetasol ointment is terrific.  I apply it daily and get in the sun as much as possible.  If you can't get sun time, and for those areas that don't see the sun, a tanning bed does the trick.  For my scalp, I use Synalar solution.  Both of these are prescription only but well worth it.  I had psoriasis from 8 yrs of age to 16 yrs of age before we found a medicine to clear it.  Clobetasol is very strong, so if your skin gets clear, you can use Elocon ointment (less strong).  Psoriasis is not curable and something you will have to work on for life.  But, if you do, your skin can be clear.  For me, the effort to apply the meds is worth it.  Good luck!
