Should I call my doctor for high absolute eosinophil count?

by kayjormom, Jun 05, 2009 08:42PM
I don't know where exactly to post this but considering what the doctor wrote it fits here I guess. I just got my daughter's lab results in the mail for just normal blood work. Her Absolute Eosinophil count was high and the doctor circled it and wrote allergies next to it. The office is closed now but is this something I should call about so we can determine if she has asthma or something. I was just looking up what it was and it seemed like they can't really know if its allergies or some kind of infection just from those numbers.

Eosinophil count is generally raised in case of allergies or  in parasitic infections.
