Sinus Polyps

by Compulibrarian, Apr 06, 2007 12:00AM
Hi
I've been suffering for a year with some neurological problems and I've had 8 brain MRIs in the process. The last one showed several sinus polyps.  Now I dont really have any symptoms, my nose is runny off and on but nothing horrible.    Do I need to get these checked out I know they could although unlikely possibly be cancerous.   Do I see an ENT or an allergist?   Also, I seem to be picking up everything the last two years, I'm a teacher and I used to never get sick but if I have a child sneesze the next day I have a fever so would it be better to see an allergist?  Should I bring my brain MRI with me?

Thanks

My husband had a polyp in his sinus area for 6 years, it finally grew so large that it blocked his airway and he couldn't breath through his nose.  He had it removed last month and says it was the best decision of his life.   He now smells, smells he couldn't AND he doesn't snore anymore.

Good Luck.
