Sinus problems

I have had allergies for over 20 years. I can see my swollen turbinates with a mirror and my blocked air passages when my allergies act up.  I am told that I snore horribly at night and notice my blood pressure gets elevated. In the morning I have a headache, high blood pressure, I feel tired, lightheaded, and dizzy. I say it is due to the lack of oxygen, but my doctor says I do not need surgery. I disagree, I am so tired of taking antihistamines and somedays I resort to taking Benadryl which really knocks me out, but relieves my allergies. I am middle age and fear having a stroke. Please advise.

It wouldn't hurt seeking out a second, third, or fourth opinion from other doctors.  It is YOUR health, not theirs.  You are in charge, and you are responsible for it.  If you don't agree, at any point, with how they are managing it, then make a change.  Truly, it couldn't hurt.  If anything, it could help you find answers to your questions.

Also, have you ever considered doing a sleep study?  Your snoring could be related to sleep apnea, which causes high blood pressure, increases risks of stroke, mood adjustments, etc...the list is quite long.  I would suggest Google-ing it.  =)  Hope you find what you are looking for.
