I have red chin area (under my mouth).
So I have tried everything:
First my doktor found that it is dermatitis. So she gave me antibiotics : Doxy-M-tatiopharm for 3 months. NO HELP
Next visit she thought that it might me contact dermatitis and gave me : Fluconazol Nycomed for 1 month. NO HELP
So this doctor gave up and says that you have to live with it.
I went to another doctor. Told everything that I have been done.
Doctor gave me Tetracylin Nycomed and thought that it might be Perioral dermatitis. I taked it about 1 month. NO HELP
So I changed my doctor again and told her everything that has been done.
She thought it might be mites or something like "demodex" . We made some tests, but there was no mites.
But She gave me anyway th antibiotics fór mites ( metronidazol nycomed) For 10 Days. NO HELP
I have dried so many creams and stuff... no help. think tat doctors are all wrong.
I will add pictures about my condition.(NB: MORE PHOTOS UNDER MY PROFILE) ( I have dry skin and for me is problem ingrown hairs also)
I have been done allergy tests , but no result!
I have been having the same thing. I was diagnosed with Perioral Dermatitis. Took antibiotics for months without much help. Switching toothpastes to a natural one without any sulfates, triclosan, and fluoride seemed to help with the area around my mouth. Has anyone given you topical Metrolotion? Seemed to help the most for me(I think..). That and the new toothpaste. But I'm still having bumps around my nose. :/ Also avoiding all moisturizers and any face washes with sodium lauryl sulfates. Hope you've been cured since February. But I've had mine for months and months so thought I'd reply just in case.
