Small bumpy rash over body

I am not sure if this an allergy or something else so any ideas suggestions on what it might be would be very great.

Over the past 5 days i have started to get a small bumpy rash which started on my right side of my face/neck behind my ear, over the past 5 days it has spreed under my chin and down the hole neck and over my right cheek and over my ear lob, then this morning i found it is now spreading to the left side of my neck and ear, it is mildly itchy but not that bad. then just before i too noticed it down the outside of my arms all the way down to my wrist on both right and left side and on my thighs both left and right and on my chest and stomach but not as bad on my stomach.

I can't think of anything that might be causing it and there are no new perfumes or soaps or food that i have tried in the past week. But i did wonder if this could be a reaction to the cold? does anyone else have or had something similar?

The rash could be due to contact dermatitis, that is exposure to an irritant like a chemical or metal or anything you are allergic to, it can cause rash. It could also be due to scabies, impetigo or sometimes due to herpes zoster or chicken pox. If there is scaling and itchiness it could most probably be due to fungal infections. But to exactly pin point the pathology you will need to consult your  primary care physician who will examine you an may ask for blood tests. If the need arises he may refer you to a dermatologist.

Thank you, when it first appeared it wasn't itchy but it is getting more itchy by the day and is spreading to the other side of my face and neck, its even in my ears. it is painful too,especially when touched. I never had the chicken pox when i was young, but i herd that adult chicken pox can be worse than when young but my family said it doesn't look like chicken poxs and i don't have any other things like sore throat or fever so thats good. I will make an appointment with my doctor for as soon as possible as it is getting worse by the day.
