Strange Lip Problem Affecting My GF after we Kiss

by Nirmal_Yadav, Mar 25, 2007 12:00AM
Sounds weird, I know. But no soon after making out, my new girlfriend complains of lip pain, and blisters on her lips. Within a few hours, sometimes immediately after or during, her lips begin to ache or burn as if severely chapped.

She's tried chapstick, didn't work. Vaseline seems to help her relieve the pain somewhat. The symptoms last as long as a week.

Unfortunately for us, we like to kiss so much, it's difficult to stop despite the consequences.

I'm curious if anyone has any ideas about this. Is it an allergic reaction to me? Is it herpes? Is it an allergic reaction to some product I use (face wash? toothpaste?)?
