Sulfer Allergy

I recently was dxd with an allergy to sulfer meds. I took alevert for 4 days to get the itching lumps to go away. This morning I woke with mild itching (been off both meds for over a month) which developed into severe system wide itching. I do have some small bumps buit most areas have no signs of a cuasitive factor. Has anyone had an a;;ergy to both sulfer meds and sulfites in foods? I read somewhere this was really really rare, but I know this can't be normal!

No reponses to my first post, but I have an update and would like to hear other's opinion, experiences, etc.. The itching kept me up till after 2am, with no relief from the Alevert. Upon it beginning to subside I developed pain and swelling in the right side lymph surrounding my ear and the lump I posted on another board about. The next morning my ears were checked and clear. The itching is still continuing, as is the pain on only the right side lymph nodes. No other signs of infection. And I know it was not the new UC drug as I hadn't take it when this started (or since). I have doubts it was something I ate, as it is persisting. At night I noticed just a very mild temperature increase, but a larger increase in the chills and a soaked bed this morning from nights sweats. I think it must be an immune response but is very odd. No rash still.
