Thick Yellow Phlegm

What cause thick yellow globes phlegms from nasal area? Had to cough it out when it irritates the throat. What treatment available?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could be sinusitis, if it is accompanied by nasal stuffiness and facial pain or pressure. Sinus infections can cause stuffiness of the nose with nasal blockage, which can make breathing through the nose difficult. It can also cause post nasal drip and lead to an irritation in the throat. You will need to consult your primary care physician for proper assessment. In the meantime practice good breathing exercises, humidify your room and do steam inhalations.

mucus....go to any drug store, grocery store...buy Mucinex DM which
you take ev. 12hrs....it thins the mucus. If it continues to have color...see your doctor...you may need antibiotics..

-Anti allergic.. twice daily.
-Some mild dose of antibiotics..like..say..Capsule Amoxycillin 500 mg twice or thrice daily..for 3-5 days.
-Steam inhalation..twice daily.
-Avoid cold and sour eatables.curd,rice etc.
