Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You could be having persistent post nasal drip due to congestion caused by a laryngo-trackeal reflux of gastric contents. Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes. You will need to take a combination of medications like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole,  lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into and a combination antibiotic tried.
Life style changes that will help include: Avoid heavy meals and eat frequent small meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, smoking, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food. Maybe these tips will help you.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do consult your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

There is a type of acid reflux called Laryngeal-pharyngeal reflux (LPR) where the acid can reflux up into the sinus cavity.  This could be the cause of what you are describing.  Usually it doesn't have the usual heart burn symptoms, but if it is left untreated long enough it can.  LPR can cause sinus infections and is characterized by the feeling of having a lump of something in your throat.  It can also cause problems with the eustacian tubes which could be the source of your ear pain.

You both should see your drs for an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

I hope that helps you.

I seem to have a lot of problems with my sinuses too. I don't get full blown sinus infections very often, but frequently have sinus pressure and pain around the eyes, forehead, and cheeks. I usually feel stuffy too, and but my mucus is never colored like with an infection, so I think it's just build up in my sinuses.

Oddly enough, I also have the exact same symptoms of heartburn and pain/nausea type feelings at the top of my stomach.

I have horrible seasonal allergies, and while I can't say for sure that all of these symptoms come from that, it certainly is a likely culprit.
