Tiny white strucutres near and around nose

Hi
I am getting some small white structures near and around my nose and sometimes on my chin as well....i have to scratch them to remove..

plz let me know cure for this...is this a allergy or common problem ?

My dad used to get these and he was told that they are cholesterol deposits. Although they mainly occurred near his eyes, he would get them in other places on his face as well. I would go to the doc to confirm this. I don't think they treated him for it as it was not dangerous, and that was back in the seventies. They may be able to do something for these now.
