Tire - Rubebr Allergy

Hi,
I have a 29 years old son. He is very skinny, but we never had any medical problem with him. He never smoked, or drink etc... He is IT in the tire distribution center, and started to complained approx. 8 months ago for the very bad tire smell, and he had a hard time to stay focus at the job. Recently, the doctor find out, he had a very imflammed lungs. He is loosing weight, and tired, hard time to focus etc.
My only son. I think, this is an occupationnal allergie, and I would like to know your app. What we need to do? He will have to go to the specialist on Tuesday.

I cannot confirm anything without examination,but it sounds like chemical worker’s lung(rubber worker’s lung) or COPD(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Respiratory symptoms may include cough (with or without sputum), dyspnea, wheeze, chest pain, or chest tightness. Constitutional symptoms, such as myalgia, lassitude, and headaches, may also be present.

To confirma a diagnosis,various investigations like CT chest(high resolution CT),pulmonary function tests and bronchoscopy may be needed.I sincerely advise you to consult a respiratory medicine specialist.
