Turbinate reduction surgery

I am suppose to have surgery to reduce the tissue in my nose. Can someone please give me more info or their experience on it? I is being done under general anesthesia and I wont be able to lift or do anything strenuous for 2 weeks. I have read you can get black eye, have nose packing, etc. Can someone fill me in more?
